I grew up in a large, beautiful, multi-cultural family in a small town. At some point, my parents turned our family home into a venue. The celebrations were theirs. The labor was ours. We, the children and the children of the children, were the staff.

That's where I learned that a gathering doesn't happen by magic. Someone designs the flow. Someone reads the room. Someone makes the work invisible so everyone else gets to simply belong. I've been that someone my whole life.
 

What started in that house became a career. I spent years inside multifamily leasing and hospitality, running teams and building the systems that turn a building full of strangers into a community people don't want to leave. I learned that the principles are the same whether you're filling apartments, selling a home, or hosting a hundred people at a table. People don't commit to square footage. They commit to how a place makes them feel.

Aidez Moi, aid-eh-mwah, the hand I extend to you, is where those two lives meet. The instinct from my parents' house and the discipline from the portfolio. I'm bougie, Black, strategic, protective, and deeply connected to the people and communities I build for. That's not a brand voice. That's the person running your project.

I'm the founder of Black Boujie Brunch, a signature experience series now in its sixth year. I chair the Young Professional Ambassador Board at WorldDenver. I'm at work on a novel called Not Your Wife. I'm based in Denver and in the middle of a long-planned move to New York. The convening instinct runs through all of it. The brunches, the boards, the books, the businesses, the building of rooms people want to belong to.
